MARIO ROMANS, Founder & Managing Partner

 As Founder and Managing Partner of Synergy Communications, Mario is responsible for the firms overall growth and strategic direction including policy and programme development. He also oversees key client relationships. In the firms relatively short life, he increased its equity and successfully raised its profile within the business community as an organization at the forefront of marketing and Brand thought leadership.  A visionary, Mario is the Conceptualizer and Chairman of the Marketing Excellence & Brand Leadership Seminar, a premier annual industry event that has featured some of the field's most notable gurus. He has led major branding and creative initiatives with senior management and engaged clients across sectors including the Jamaica Tourist Board, the Ministry of Tourism, UWI. His core expertise is in brand equity, brand identity, brand architecture and multi-sensory marketing. His business achievements span the media, fashion, advertising, hospitality and financial services industry.

Prior to launching Synergy Communications, Mario has worked with top level teams in the execution of a number of high profile corporate events including the prestigious Business Observer, Business Leader Awards and the Jamaica observer's Table Talk Food Awards.

Mario has served as General Secretary and VP of Finance for the Public Relations Society of Jamaica (PRSJ). He has also served as Chairman and Head of Sponsorship for the Jamaica Basketball Association’s (JABA) Marketing Committee and as an Executive with responsibility for Public Relations and Marketing for the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Jamaica (YEA). Mario has written on issues of marketing and branding and has contributed to business publications such as Businessuite and the firms very own, Brand Edge. He is active in education and training and is an adjunct lecturer at the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communications (CARIMAC), UWI. His current research interests are marketing performance and accountability and brand assimilation.
